Key Responsibilities
* Deliver a strategic workforce planning service across all directorates, working with HR Business Partners, managers and workforce data to identify current and future workforce needs and implement effective solutions.
* Work collaboratively with Organisational Development, Learning & Development, Recruitment and Talent Teams to address skills gaps, align learning activity and ensure resourcing plans support the Council’s Recruitment Strategy.
* Use HR metrics and workforce analytics to support evidence‑based workforce planning, monitoring trends, risks and benchmarks across the organisation.
* Lead on talent identification and succession planning activities, supporting performance management processes and targeted development initiatives.
* Develop and deliver early careers initiatives including work placements, work experience, T‑levels and engagement at careers events.
About You
* You will be a Learning & Development/Workforce/HR professional with a relevant qualification such as CIPD Level 5.
* Have knowledge and understanding of different approaches to workforce planning and development solutions.
* Experience of workforce planning and development including delivering effective and sustainable workforce planning and development solutions.
