A welcoming primary school in Watford is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as possible. The school values teamwork, creativity, and a nurturing approach to education, providing a supportive environment for both staff and pupils.
About the Role
This is a full-time, term-time position ideal for someone who is empathetic, proactive, and committed to helping all children succeed. You’ll work closely with pupils and teachers to support learning, encourage positive behaviour, and help create an engaging classroom environment.
Responsibilities
Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils across a range of abilities
Assist with classroom activities and lesson delivery
Support personalised learning plans and help pupils stay on track
Encourage social interaction and emotional wellbeing
Work collaboratively with teachers and other staff
Help maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment
Keep accurate records and contribute to progress reviews
What We’re Looking For
Experience working with children or young people in an educational setting is desirable
A calm, patient, and compassionate approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Willingness to learn and take part in training
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
