FCRMS Asset Management Business Systems Team Senior Advisor - 32232
The Environment Agency creates better places for people, wildlife and the environment, putting the climate emergency at the heart of everything we do. This role supports the Agency’s carbon management and asset management programmes, delivering a core asset management system that operates alongside other AMBST supported tools for the infrastructure programme.
Responsibilities
 * Support EA and external users of operational carbon tools.
 * Manage and deliver a range of services to users of carbon tools.
 * Agree and maintain services with a range of user groups.
 * Act as a senior product user for digital improvement projects of carbon tools and data.
 * Plan and manage user activities in the implementation of carbon tool changes and improvements.
 * Manage resources and funding for carbon tools support and maintenance.
 * Work with operational carbon communities and national leads as required.
 * Collaborate with IT suppliers, FCRM, Operations teams across England, DDTS, Defra’s Digital, Data and Technology Services and external partners such as local authorities, water companies, internal drainage boards and the civil engineering supply chain.
Qualifications & Experience
 * Significant experience and knowledge in carbon management for infrastructure assets, projects or programmes.
 * Experience in asset management and/or infrastructure business processes.
 * Experience in digital tool development or user implementation services.
 * Experience developing training and documentation.
 * Skills in stakeholder engagement and effective communication.
 * Ability to analyse, evaluate and implement improved ways of working.
 * Decision‑making and problem‑solving skills for complex business problems.
 * Strong focus on efficiency, innovation and quality.
 * Strong focus on customers and partners, building and sustaining relationships.

Working Conditions
Role is predominantly office‑based; occasional travel is required. Any location for your office base is acceptable. The position offers fully funded opportunities to develop further academic/professional qualifications and training.
