Job Description
BIC is looking for a Warehouse Officer who will be responsible for performing various duties such as consolidation, replenishment, pallet picking, put‑away, and other production, shipping, inventory and receiving‑related functions. The Warehouse Officer will operate all types of equipment, including forklifts and RF scanners.
Reporting to the Logistics Supervisor, this role requires detail‑oriented, problem‑solving individuals who can think quantitatively and notice defects and errors quickly.
Main Responsibilities
* Pick orders and process them by completing required paperwork.
* Locate items in the warehouse, move them to the processing and shipping area, and scan their barcode.
* Maintain knowledge of account requirements to prevent compliance failures.
* Pack orders and prepare them to be shipped (packer).
* Inspect items to ensure they are not damaged or missing parts; package them according to specifications and transport them carefully to the dispatch area.
* Complete necessary paperwork and update relevant systems (e.g., JDE / freight portal).
* Receive goods delivered to the warehouse for storage; unload products from trucks and shipping containers.
* Check that the receipt matches delivery documents such as bill of lading, shipping invoice or delivery note.
* Verify that goods are intact and report any defects.
* Maintain warehouse inventory by arranging boxes safely and preventing damage.
* Perform duties such as manual lifting, packaging, taping, labeling and sorting.
* Use RF equipment, accurate/damage‑free movement of pallets and cases from reserve and forward pick locations in accordance with production standards.
* Report any discrepancies.
* Move product and inventory using a forklift.
* Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
* Execute and document quality inspections per SOP.
* Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations.
* Report any unsafe conditions/equipment or injury to warehouse supervisors.
Qualifications
* Forklift licence with reach experience is mandatory.
* Minimum of one (1) year of related experience in a warehouse environment.
* Basic to intermediate literacy and numeracy skills.
* Ability to use software such as Excel, Word, Outlook (email) and SAP.
* Familiarity with shipping software.
