Ogilvie School Campus is a school for children with a range of additional support needs, including complex difficulties, sensory impairments, physical disabilities, and Autism spectrum disorder. The school serves the entire West Lothian Council area.
The school is expanding its Secondary provision, with the first S6 pupils set to commence their education this year. Significant structural and educational changes are planned to create a dynamic, forward-thinking environment that meets all pupils' needs in a nurturing setting.
The current staff includes a Head Teacher, 20 Teachers, 40 Advanced Pupil Support Workers, and 2 Office staff. The school has a roll of 100 children. We are seeking two enthusiastic Advanced Pupil Support Workers to join our support team.
The support staff are also assisted by health professionals, including a school nurse, community paediatrician, speech and language therapists, physiotherapist, occupational therapist, and mental health team, who meet regularly with staff, children, and parents.
This position requires registration with the SSSC within six months of starting. Applicants must submit their registration within three months of their start date. If already registered, candidates should add West Lothian Council to their account.
This role involves Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults under the PVG Scheme. From 28 February 2011, successful candidates will need to join or update their PVG Scheme membership before an employment offer is made.
