Client:
Our client is a leading Façade Contractor with a great reputation built over the last few decades. They have a proven track record of exceeding their clients expectations, providing high level façade solutions.
The business is growing from strength to strength with a large order book secured for the long term. Due to this continued growth they have a great opportunity for a Senior Planner to join them on a permanent basis, based in their offices near Belfast. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and ambitious individual.
The Role:
The Senior Planner will play a crucial role in the planning and coordination of various elements, ensuring timely and efficient execution of projects. Responsibilities will include:
12. Collaborate with the project team to develop comprehensive phased project programmes
13. Producing marked up drawings relevant to the project phases
14. Conduct thorough analysis of project requirements
15. Prepare detailed project timelines, identifying critical paths and key milestones
16. Coordinate with internal departments, external contractors, and suppliers to ensure seamless project execution
17. Monitor project progress with as built programmes, whilst identifying potential risks and developing proactive mitigation strategies
18. Maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports, change orders, and relevant correspondence
19. Provide expertise and support to the project team, addressing any planning-related issues that may arise
20. Assisting the estimating department on project bids including programme creation, resourcing requirements & capacity planning
21. Producing resource histograms relevant to capacity planning/labour requirements/cash flow forecasts
22. Play a key role at internal/external project meetings
23. Assist with EOT claims by providing programme related input relating to delay entitlement
24. Carry out what IF scenarios to forecast risks/opportunities
25. Assist the production team with planning input to the production planning tools
26. Demonstrates commercial acumen with awareness on cash flow, claims & stock management
27. Periodic visits to construction sites within the UK & Ireland may be required
The Ideal Person:
28. Degree qualified or other relevant qualifications
29. Minimum of 3 years' experience in a Planner role
30. Confident individual able to challenge internal/external project stakeholders
31. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
32. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
33. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
34. Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results
35. Proven ability to effectively manage multiple tasks concurrently across diverse projects
36. Proficient in Project Planning Software (ASTA Powerproject is preferred)
37. Facades / Architectural Glazing background is ideal
