Lead Maintenance Fitter

4 on 4 off Shift Pattern | Days & Nights | Overtime Available
We are looking for an experienced Lead Maintenance Fitter to join a fast-paced industrial processing environment, supporting the smooth running of site operations and helping to minimise downtime across the plant.
This is a hands-on role where you will be responsible for planned preventative maintenance, reactive breakdown repairs and continuous improvement of machinery and equipment. Working closely with production teams, you will play a key part in ensuring the site operates safely, efficiently and with maximum productivity.
The Role
Carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs on plant machinery
Completing planned preventative maintenance and responding to breakdowns
Fault finding on mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems
Monitoring equipment performance and identifying improvements to reduce downtime
Maintaining stock levels of spare parts and reporting shortages
Completing maintenance reports and shift handovers
Ensuring all work is carried out safely and in line with site procedures
Supporting housekeeping standards within the workshop and operational areas
Liaising with production, management and fabrication teams when requiredWhat We're Looking For
Previous experience within a Lead Fitter or Maintenance role
Background within manufacturing, processing or heavy industry environments
Knowledge of hydraulics, electrical systems and PLCs
MIG welding experience advantageous
Ability to work proactively and prioritise workload effectively
Good communication and computer skills
Strong understanding of health & safety procedures
Forklift licence beneficial, although training can be providedShift Pattern
4 on 4 off rotating shift pattern
2 day shifts followed by 2 night shifts
Shift times: 5:00am - 5:00pm / 5:00pm - 5:00am
14-day rest break built into the rota across the 8-week cycle
