Oatlands Park Hotel is located on the historic site of a Royal Tudor Palace built by King Henry VIII. We are hiring for a Food and Beverage Assistant to join our dynamic Bar team!
You will thrive in a fast paced environment, and you should have a good knowledge about wines, spirits and cocktails.

What will you do?
You will report to the Bar Manager. You will provide guests with an excellent drinking experience and always provide a high level of customer service.
Main responsibilities
* You will greet customers in a friendly and welcoming manner.
* You will create classic and innovative drinks and pour pints.
* You will be responsible for setting up the bar, cashing up, locking up, stock takes, stock control, cellar management, cleaning lines, health & safety, and maintenance.
* You will promote, describe and upsell items, inform guests and offer alternative products.
* You will serve food and drinks to guests quickly and efficiently, with excellent customer service.
* You will restock supplies in the bar and ensure stock rotation.
* Ensure performance standards are adhered to.
* To ensure all bar areas are clean and tidy.
Education and qualifications
* A Hospitality qualification or be working towards one (Desirable, but not necessarily required).
* You should have a GCSE Grade C (or above) in English or Maths.
Required skills and experience
* You should be able to multi-task.
* You should be able to work collaboratively with others and have good verbal communication skills.
* You must be able to work effectively under pressure.
* You should have a "can do" attitude, and be open to suggestions and constructive feedback.
* Ability to think fast and deliver solutions on a daily basis.
* Live within a commutable distance of the hotel.
* Attention to detail.
* Team working skills.
* Positive and professional attitude.
* High standard of written and spoken English.

* You must have legal authorization to work in the United Kingdom.
