Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate
Registered Children's Home Manager
to lead the day-to-day operations of our residential children's home. This pivotal role involves overseeing the wellbeing and development of young people, ensuring their individual needs are met through high-quality, tailored care.
As the Registered Manager, you will be responsible for the leadership and performance of the home, ensuring full compliance with the
Children's Homes Regulations
, and maintaining a safe, nurturing, and positive environment. You will also be part of the on-call support rota.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and oversee all aspects of the home's daily operations in line with legislative, regulatory, and contractual standards. Ensure each young person's physical, emotional, educational, and social needs are met through individualised care planning. Build and maintain strong relationships with local authorities, partner agencies, and families to support young people's rehabilitation and reintegration. Provide effective leadership and supervision for the care team, fostering a culture of high performance, safeguarding, and continuous improvement. Support budget preparation and control financial performance to meet agreed parameters. Implement and interpret changes in legislation, ensuring the home remains compliant with all evolving requirements. Lead the recruitment, development, and training of staff, ensuring optimum service delivery and workforce resilience. Promote and maintain a positive health and safety culture across the home.

Essential Skills & Experience
QCF Level 5 in Leadership for Health & Social Care (Children & Young People's Residential Management) or working towards qualification At least
2 years' experience in residential childcare
A minimum of
1 year in a supervisory or management role
within a care setting A clear understanding of safeguarding, Ofsted regulations, and quality care standards Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills Full UK driving licence
