Your Role in a Nutshell
As a Learner Support Assistant, you'll be at the heart of our learners' employability journey.
Working closely with tutors and support staff, you'll provide one-to-one and group support tailored to individual needs, helping learners stay focused, confident, and on track to achieve their training and employment goals.
What You'll Be Doing
Learner Support
* Provide hands-on support during lessons and learning activities
* Engage and motivate learners, encouraging full participation
* Assist learners with understanding tasks, building their confidence and skills
* Support learners with English, maths, and ICT where needed
* Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment
* Offer tailored support to meet learners' individual needs
* Help develop engaging and accessible learning materials
* Provide regular feedback and updates to tutors on learner progress
Programme Support
* Contribute to the delivery of creative and effective learning sessions
* Support tutors with planning, paperwork, and classroom management
* Ensure timely completion of learner documentation and records
* Work collaboratively to uphold high standards of teaching and learning
Organisational Responsibilities
* Follow all safeguarding, health & safety, and company policies
* Uphold the values of equality, inclusion, and diversity
* Take responsibility for company equipment and learner well-being
* Participate actively in training and development opportunities
* Reflect our core values of empowerment, ownership, and teamwork
What We're Looking For
Essential
* Experience working with young people (aged 14-19) in educational or support settings
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
* A positive, proactive, and flexible attitude
* Passionate about helping young people achieve their full potential
Desirable
* Relevant qualifications (e.g., Learning Support, Classroom Assistant, or Assessor)
* Knowledge of the training or further education sector
* Awareness of safeguarding, Prevent duty, and inclusive education practices
* Ability to speak Welsh fluently (advantageous but not essential)
