* £27 per hour (via Umbrella) – 35-hour working week + premium overtime rates

Our client is a pioneering aerospace organisation based at RAF Brize Norton, supporting the Airbus A400M Line Maintenance Team. With over a decade of operational excellence, they provide critical maintenance and mission support for a global fleet of A400M aircraft. Working alongside military personnel, their high-performance engineering team ensures readiness for high-profile government and defence missions across diverse environments. Due to continued growth, they are now seeking experienced Role Bay Contractors – Role Equipment Specialists to join their expanding workshop team.
THE ROLE BAY CONTRACTOR – ROLE EQUIPMENT SPECIALIST ROLE:
As a Role Equipment Specialist, you'll play a crucial role in maintaining and servicing survival and mission-critical aircraft equipment. Working under the guidance of the Role Bay Coordinator and Head of Workshops, you'll ensure operational readiness, compliance, and reliability of all assigned equipment. This is a hands-on role in a high-tempo aerospace environment where attention to detail and adherence to regulated standards are paramount.
Key responsibilities include:
* Servicing chemical oxygen generators in line with OEM and regulatory standards
* Inspection, repacking, and maintenance of life vests and survival systems
* Application of corrosion prevention compounds on relevant assemblies
* Accurate input of maintenance data and technical records
* Daily servicing of Class 3 role equipment to ensure operational availability
* Supporting continuous improvement and upholding 6S workplace standards
* Ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and procedural requirements
ROLE BAY CONTRACTOR – ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
* Proven experience in the maintenance or servicing of survival or role-specific aircraft equipment
* Competence in interpreting technical publications and following regulated maintenance procedures
* Confident using digital maintenance data systems and tools
* Strong attention to detail and ability to work both independently and within a team
Desirable:
* Previous experience within a defence aerospace or military MRO environment
* Familiarity with the A400M platform or similar aircraft
* Awareness of Human Factors, FOD prevention, and tool control
* Completion of a recognised aircraft maintenance or survival equipment apprenticeship (military or civilian)
