Senior Engineer - Major Infrastructure Project (Kent)
Rate: £400-£500 per day (Umbrella PAYE)
Location: Kent (site-based)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Engineer / Agent to join a major long-term infrastructure programme in Kent, delivered under a high-profile framework.
This role is ideal for a driven and technically strong individual with a background in civil engineering, capable of leading site operations, managing teams, and ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee day-to-day site operations and engineering activities
* Lead and coordinate site engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers
* Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards
* Manage programme delivery, identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies
* Liaise with stakeholders, including clients and project teams
* Review and approve method statements, risk assessments, and technical documentation
* Monitor progress, costs, and reporting against project milestones
Requirements:
* Proven experience in a Senior Engineer or Agent role within civil engineering/infrastructure projects
* Strong knowledge of highways, structures, or general heavy civils
* Excellent leadership and communication skills
* Ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment
* CSCS card (essential); SMSTS preferred
* Degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering or related discipline
