About You:

We are seeking a highly motivated specialist senior technician to:

Provide high-quality, efficient radiopharmaceutical production.

Ensure compliance with GMP and other relevant regulations.

Main duties of the job

To work as a member of the Radiopharmacy Technical services team providing an efficient, effective and safe aseptic radiopharmaceutical production service to Bart's Health Nuclear Medicine Department and other specified service users. To be a senior team member in supporting the departmental operational duties.

Person Specification


Qualifications

* BTEC in Pharmaceutical Sciences or NVQ level 3 in Pharmacy Services or Diploma in Nuclear Medicine Or Scientific Degree
* Ideally registered with General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) when operative, or Registration as a Clinical Technologist in the Institute of Physics and Engineering in Medicine, or Registered as Clinical Scientist with the Health Professions Council
* Pre and in process checking (PIPC/ACPT)
* ILM L3 in Leadership and management or equivalent qualification in management.


Experience

* Experience in a GMP / aseptic supervisory or training role
* Significant experience within a GMP / aseptic facility or work as a pharmacy technician
* Significant experience working in a Radiopharmacy (involving the handling of radioactive materials).
* Working with clinical trials
* Previous managerial experience/experience of management of junior staff or a small team.
* Experience in Quality Management Systems / Pharmacy Quality Systems.
* Experience of using radiopharmacy management software.
* Experience of using Q Pulse
* Experience of using procurement portals
* Experience in checking within aspetic unit, pharmacy or radiopharmaceutical release


Skills

* Demonstrated ability to work independently and take initiative
* Proven aptitude for prioritising tasks and managing workload effectively
* Excellent organisational and time management capabilities.
* Quick to learn and adapt to new processes or systems
* Strong interest and proficiency in technical processes
* Skilled in practical, hands-on tasks with attention to detail
* Capable of meeting all general and role-specific competencies
* Confident in performing basic mathematical calculations accurately
* Effective team player with the ability to collaborate across small teams and wider stakeholders
* Advanced ICT skills, including managing emails, word processing, power point, spreadsheets (excel), databases, and maintaining accurate data entry
* Experience using Radiopharacy/production specific systems
* Experienced in training and mentoring others
* Use excel to manipulate complex data.
* Demonstrate leadership skills
