The Role
Financial Reporting & Group Control
* Own monthly and quarterly close across a diverse portfolio of entities
* Prepare and review management accounts, including variance analysis and commercial commentary
* Lead statutory accounts, consolidations, VAT returns, and intercompany processes
* Maintain key balance sheet areas including accruals, prepayments, and loan schedules
Strategic Exposure & Stakeholder Influence
* Produce high-quality performance reporting using Power BI and advanced Excel
* Present financial insights directly to shareholders and project boards
* Partner with operational and technical teams to support investment and project decisions
Governance, Risk & External Relationships
* Ensure compliance with UK GAAP and jurisdictional reporting requirements
* Act as the key contact for external auditors and tax advisers
* Monitor loan covenants and funding facility deliverables
Process Improvement & Transformation
* Strengthen internal controls and contribute to finance transformation projects
* Improve reporting processes through automation and system enhancements
About You
This role suits someone currently in Audit or Accounting Advisory who is ready to move closer to commercial decision-making:
* ACA / CA / ACCA qualified (or finalist with strong experience)
* Strong grounding in financial reporting, group structures, and controls
* Confident working with senior stakeholders and explaining financial information clearly
* Advanced Excel skills; Power BI or data analytics experience beneficial
Experience in asset management or infrastructure is not essential - this role provides a pathway into the sector.
