Archimed Capital is a digital assets investment firm, spin-off from well-known Decentral Park Capital operating since 2017. Archimed utilises our deep crypto network and proprietary data infrastructure to drive investment decisions for a number of fund strategies. The Archimed team is a small yet dynamic one with a strong background in investment management, data science and crypto.
About the Role
Mission:
Own architecture and delivery of select portions of the delta‑neutral LP stack across EVM + one CEX, from math‑correctness to production reliability, broadly divided into 1. CEX hedging, 2. liquidity shape hedging logic, PNL and risk monitoring, database backend architecture.
What you'll do:
* Design, implement, and review strategy engine (delta calculation, shape maintenance, hedging policy).
* Build DEX adapter (Web3 for Uniswap v3‑style pools: pool reads, NFT PositionManager writes, gas/MEV controls).
* Build CEX adapter (perps or spot margin): idempotent orders, position reconciliation, funding/accounting.
* Stand up state & observability (Postgres/Timescale, Redis, Prometheus/Grafana) and orchestration (schedulers, retries).
* Implement risk controls: leverage caps, price gap checks, stale‑feed detection, circuit breakers, kill‑switch.
* Lead incident response, post‑mortems, and safe‑rollout practices (feature flags, canaries).
Must‑haves:
* 5+ years building backend systems in finance, insurance, or complex data or engineering domains, comfortable reading and interacting with solidity in at least one object oriented language
* Hands‑on with Uniswap v3 math (ticks, sqrtPriceX96, liquidity math), EVM RPCs, and perps APIs.
* Proven track in asynchronous I/O, WebSockets, real‑time state machines; idempotent order handling.
* Prod experience with Postgres/Timescale, Redis/Kafka, Docker/K8s; secure key management and secrets.
* Excellent software correctness discipline (tests, property checks, monitoring)
Nice‑to‑haves:
* Software engineering experience focused on Web3/DeFi (Solidity, Move, Cadence, Rust, etc.).
* Hands-on experience shipping and maintaining at least one major DeFi protocol (AMM, lending, bridge, LST, derivatives, etc.) to mainnet.
* Strong grasp of smart-contract security patterns, economic/game-theoretic exploits, and incident triage.
* Comfort working across the stack: writing Cadence contracts, scripting deployments, instrumenting on-chain analytics, and contributing to dApp front-end.
* Curiosity for emerging primitives (restaking, intent-based execution, L2 interoperability) and the creativity to adapt them to Flow's architecture.
* Effective communicator who can translate complex technical ideas to diverse stakeholders.
* Bonus: experience with account-abstraction wallets, formal verification tools, or multi-VM execution environments.
* Bonus: Niche experience such as MEV/Flashbots experience; prior work on Gamma/Arrakis/Algebra forks, or funding arbitrage.
