This role sits within Edutrain360's Further Education provision, helping students develop employability, foundational skills, and prepare for progression to higher education or employment.
Job Purpose / Summary
As an Adult Learning Coach (FE), you will support adult learners in FE-level provision delivered by Edutrain360, by designing, delivering, and evaluating learning programmes (especially functional skills, IT, employability, and bridging courses). You will serve as both a tutor and a coach — helping learners to overcome barriers, stay motivated, and progress into further study or employment.
You will collaborate with curriculum teams, support staff, and external employers to ensure the learning is relevant, inclusive, and aligned with Edutrain360's quality and strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities
* Planning and Delivery
* Design and deliver engaging lessons and coaching sessions on subjects such as English, Maths, IT Skills, Employability, and bridging curriculum modules.
* Tailor resources and teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of adult learners (including learners with learning support needs).
* Use blended learning (in-person + online) approaches, leveraging Edutrain360's virtual learning tools.
* Learner Support / Coaching
* Conduct one-to-one coaching and mentoring of learners to set goals, monitor progress, and address barriers (e.g. confidence, study skills, attendance).
* Monitor learner engagement, retention, and intervene early with strategies for those at risk of dropout.
* Facilitate study skills, time management, and learner resilience workshops as needed.
* Assessment & Progress Tracking
* Create and administer formative and summative assessments, feedback, and evidence portfolios.
* Maintain accurate records of learner progress, attendance, and achievement.
* Participate in internal moderation, quality assurance reviews, and standardisation sessions.
* Employer / Stakeholder Engagement
* Liaise with local employers, further education institutions, or community organisations to support work placements, guest lectures, or progression pathways.
* Align curriculum with employer requirements and labour market needs.
* Continuous Professional Development & Quality
* Participate in professional development workshops, sector updates, and learning observations.
* Contribute to curriculum review, course development, and innovation in teaching methods.
* Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and Edutrain360 policies.

Qualifications & Experience
* A recognised teaching/training qualification
* Experience teaching or training adult learners in further education, community learning, or similar setting.
* Proven experience in planning, delivering, and assessing learning programmes in English, Maths, IT, or employability.
* Experience of one-to-one coaching, mentoring, and learner support.
* Familiarity with quality assurance, assessment frameworks, or awarding bodies (desirable).
* Ideally, knowledge of the UK FE sector, functional skills, or vocational curriculum.
Typical Working Conditions
* Based at Edutrain360 centres (e.g. London offices) and sometimes in community venues or online.
* Hybrid working: a mix of face-to-face delivery and virtual coaching/teaching.
* Regular collaboration with curriculum teams, student support, and quality assurance functions.
* Some flexibility in working hours to meet learner needs (evening, weekend sessions occasionally).
