Junior Graphic Designer

Uprated is looking for a talented Junior Graphic Designer to join our social, content & influencer team.
Working across a range of high-profile and exciting brands, such as Revlon, Osprey Packs, Hydro Flask and much more, you’ll play a key role in bringing social-first content to life through bold, on-brand, visually impactful design.
You’ll be part of a collaborative creative team and work closely with social strategists to develop standout work across platforms like Instagram, TikTok and LinkedIn. From static graphics to motion-first content and campaign toolkits, you’ll help shape how brands present themselves on social media, every single day.
We’re looking for someone with a passion for design, a keen eye for trends in digital and social culture, and the ability to balance creativity with speed and accuracy. This is an ideal opportunity for someone early in their creative career looking to gain experience across multiple sectors and make real impact.
Based in the centre of Bournemouth, Uprated offers a hybrid working environment (2 days per week in office), regular team socials, and the chance to work on some of the most exciting digital campaigns around.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
* Create high-quality, engaging static and motion-first graphics for organic and paid social media content
* Work closely with the wider content and strategy teams to respond to briefs with creative, social-native design ideas
* Develop creative assets that follow brand guidelines and platform best practices while pushing boundaries where relevant
* Produce content across a variety of sectors, including lifestyle, beauty, FMCG, fashion, and interior design
* Translate brand and campaign messages into visually engaging designs, adapting formats for different platforms and placements
* Support with the development of social playbooks and content templates
* Collaborate with copywriters, video editors, and project managers to deliver cohesive campaigns
* Ensure design consistency, quality and speed of output across all formats and touchpoints
* Stay on top of trends in social media design, emerging formats, and cultural moments
* Respond positively to feedback and be open to collaboration and learning opportunities
* Take part in creative brainstorms and team sessions to contribute ideas and energy to projects
Required Skills & Experience
We’d love to hear from you if you have the following:
* 1–2 years’ experience in a design role – internships and freelance work considered
* A strong portfolio of creative work, particularly social-first design for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, or similar platforms
* Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (particularly Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects)
* Basic motion graphics and video editing skills, you’re comfortable creating simple animations, transitions, and effects
* An understanding of how different social platforms work and what content performs well on each
* Comfortable designing for multiple formats (feed posts, carousels, stories, reels, paid ads)
* Able to work at pace and juggle multiple deadlines without compromising quality
* A keen eye for layout, typography, and design details
* A proactive attitude, you bring energy, curiosity, and a desire to learn
* Great communication and collaboration skills, with the confidence to share your ideas and receive feedback
