As a Surgery Patient Care Coordinator, you will act asaliaison between the front and back of the hospital by facilitating client/patient flow between the waiting room, exam rooms, CSR staff,and clinical staff, triaging medical phone calls, coordinating client/doctor communication, and performing ER visit follow-up calls for both locations. Evening, weekend,and holiday work across both locations may berequiredas part of the normal workweek.
As thePatient Care Coordinator, you will:
4. Monitor the waiting/exam room clients;assistwith refreshments/marketing materials; update clients on wait time/patient status
5. Maintain open communication withthedoctor and technical staff to minimize wait times and maximize patient flowregardinglong wait times
6. Coordinate patient flow between multiple specialties
7. Manage Cornerstone hospital census
8. Facilitate discharge appointments for all services
9. Perform patient discharges in coordination withthetechnical team
10. Manage patient discharge/visit board and exam rooms; ensure comfortable andtimelyvisits & discharges
11. Check ER doctor message bin and triage messages for doctors;facilitatesolutions for clients
12. Receive and address patient care telephone calls from thegeneral public
13. Call previous day's ER clients for follow-up feedback for both locations
