Position: Renewable Project Development Manager (PV, Wind, BESS)
Location: London - On-site/Hybrid

Thor Engineering is currently partnered with a European Developer who have multiple offices Spain, Italy, UK & Germany. They are in search of a new Project Developer to support the growth of their pipeline.
They are very well funded and are growing through a mixture of M&A & Greenfield projects. You will be responsible for taking projects from Origination - Permitting - RTB.
Responsibilities:
The Project Development Manager will work in a cross-functional team to successfully develop and manage utility scale projects from Origination - Permitting - Development - Ready to build (RTB).
* Manage the overall development lifecycle of utility scale Solar/Wind projects ( Site activation, Grid connection, Permitting and Contractual agreements.)
* Cultivate strong relationships with relevant stakeholders, including developers, authorities, landowners, grid operators, off takers, and advisors, through to RTB.
* Lead negotiations and deal structuring with developers for project acquisition or partnership structures like development services agreement or joint development agreement.
* Collaborate with supporting functions (Legal, Technical Solution, Finance, and Project Delivery) to ensure smooth coordination and execution of projects.
* Conduct financial modelling to evaluate the economic viability of projects.
* Identify and secure suitable greenfield and brownfield sites for project development.
* Stay up to date with market developments and industry policies/regulations to spot potential business opportunities.
Experience:
* Demonstrated success in negotiating and closing commercial transactions with various parties, including Landlords, Developers, Utilities, Technical Advisors, Regulatory Agencies, and Off takers.
* A Bachelor's degree is ideal, and an MSc degree is preferred.
* Proficiency in RES projects, specific regional regulations, and market mechanisms.
* Additional experience in IPP project acquisition, community solar, national and regional grid analysis, multinational environments, legal, and full-cycle development would be advantageous.
