Job Description
Clinical Leader (Theatres) – Newcastle Hospital; Nursing – Permanent contract – Full time. Salary up to £48,000 per annum depending on experience, 37.5 hours per week.
Main duties of the job
* Conduct and organize the Clinical/ Surgical and Endoscopy team within theatre, including smooth running of theatre lists, organizing booking forms and assisting sessions in theatres.
* Work collaboratively and flexibly across the theatre suites to accommodate service demands of each department (Endoscopy, General, Orthopedics, Gynae).
* Promote effective clinical risk management and governance (safety, risk management, quality improvement, policies and procedures) to enhance patient care and service delivery.
* Have extensive knowledge required for audits and equipment.
* Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of surgical techniques and associated equipment.
* Have ample opportunities for continuous growth and personal development, including Surgical First Assist training.

Qualifications
* Registered with the appropriate governing body and have the relevant qualifications and post‑registration in surgery/anaesthetics experience, including as a Registered Nurse or HCPC Registered Operating Department Practitioner.
Experience
* Post registration in surgery/anaesthetics experience.
