Responsibilities
Join our client's dynamic finance team as an Accounting & Controls Manager, where you will play a crucial role in driving financial integrity and compliance. Your responsibilities will include:
* Oversee compliance with internal control measures for the Wolverhampton unit, ensuring every process meets established guidelines.
* Lead the annual assessment and testing of control designs, actively identifying and addressing control issues.
* Collaborate with the central team to proactively spot and manage both reportable and non-reportable control issues, crafting and monitoring remediation plans as needed.
* Serve as the subject matter expert on internal controls and corporate policies, overseeing the management and review of all related deliverables.
* Prepare for internal audits, ensuring timely resolution of action items and effective communication of follow-ups.
* In addition, you will:
* Provide expert advice on technical accounting matters, preparing and presenting documentation, and conducting quarterly balance sheet assessments.
* Facilitate monthly reviews for the central accounting and controls team, spotlighting issues, trends, deliverables, and training requirements.
* Manage Quarterly Control Environment Representation (QCER) checklists, ensuring thorough reviews and quality checks.
* Identify training needs and develop materials for global teams, delivering impactful training sessions.
* Spearhead strategic improvement projects, assessing risks and developing comprehensive project plans to ensure timely delivery.

* Degree educated or equivalent.
