Receptionist/administrator to join our friendly, dedicated, and supportive team. This role opportunity is perfect for someone who thrives in a busy environment, copes well under pressure and values the importance of excellent service in a healthcare setting.
Patient liaison is a vital part of our organisation; it is the bridge between the medical and administrative functions of the company and the main point of contact for the patients. You will work closely with your colleagues to ensure continuity of service. You will be providing information and answers to patient queries regarding their first visit and explain procedures for treatments. You will need to be welcoming and patient while explaining investigation/treatment recommendations and friendly and compassionate when discussing options and managing expectations.
You will have face-to-face contact with our patients, some of whom attend with a language interpreter and others who communicate via an advocate. You will also be making appointments according to their recommended treatment plans for medical procedures and various consultations in person and over the telephone.
Ideal candidate:
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Excellent computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Sage experience desirable)
* Good keyboard and numeracy skills with a keen eye for detail
* Comfortable using multiple IT systems in a fast-paced setting and data entry
* Ability to multitask and prioritise workload
* Compassionate and patient-focused
* Experienced in customer service
Desirable
* Previous experience in a healthcare administration/reception role
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Adaptable and confident working under pressure in a changing environment
