We are looking for a Butcher to work in a traditional family-run butcher and pie maker with over 50 years of experience. They cure their own bacon, make their own sausages, and produce a wide range of products including pork pies, gravy pies, and quiches, all made on-site. We pride ourselves on supplying premium products to farm shops and retail outlets. working in a chilled environment, handling meat products, and ensuring all goods are stored and dispatched efficiently. Key Responsibilities: · Oversee food production processes ensuring high standards of quality · Prepare and process various meat products according to recipes · Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations · Collaborate with team members to optimize production efficiency · Assist in butchery tasks as required · Ensure cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area · Participate in training new staff on food preparation techniques · Contribute ideas for product development and improvement · Cooking of Pies and Cooked Meats · Qualifications · Proven experience in food production or butchery · Strong knowledge of food safety standards · Ability to work effectively within a team environment · Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills · Previous kitchen or restaurant experience is a plus · Picking, packing, and preparing meat products for dispatch · Operating within cold storage areas (chilled conditions) · Maintaining high standards of hygiene and food safety · Loading and unloading deliveries · Working as part of a team to meet daily targets · Benefits: · Full training provided · PPE supplied · Opportunities for overtime and career progression Blue Arrow is proud to be a Disability Confident Employer and is committed to helping find great work opportunities for great people.
