About the Role
As a Senior Ecologist, you’ll lead ecological assessments and manage a range of projects from inception to completion. You’ll provide technical expertise, oversee field teams, and ensure the delivery of robust, pragmatic ecological advice to clients in both the public and private sectors.

Key Responsibilities
 * Plan, lead and deliver ecological surveys and impact assessments
 * Manage projects, budgets, and timelines, ensuring quality and compliance
 * Mentor and support junior team members in both technical and professional development
 * Prepare and review technical reports, including EcIA and HRA documents
 * Provide expert ecological input to multi‑disciplinary design and planning teams
 * Build and maintain strong client relationships, contributing to business development initiatives
About You
 * Degree in ecology or related environmental discipline
 * Extensive experience in ecological consultancy, including project management
 * Strong knowledge of UK and European wildlife legislation and planning policy
 * Full membership (or working towards) of CIEEM
 * Proven experience leading surveys and preparing ecological assessments
 * Excellent written and verbal communication skills
 * Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel for site work
