We are establishing a new Doncaster-based workshop in Spring 2026 to bring the production of our luxury leather goods in-house. This is an exciting step for Kilter, a content-first brand known for premium craftsmanship within the alternative lifestyle space.
Our new space will also include a dedicated content studio so we can document the making process, share our craftsmanship with our audience, and showcase the skill that goes into every piece.
We’re looking to connect with experienced Leather Technologists or Leathercraft Specialists who have the skill and passion to produce premium leather goods to the highest standard. This posting is exploratory — we’re building our talent pool now, with a view to formalising the role once our workshop is operational.
About Kilter
Kilter specialises in high-end, handcrafted leather accessories using Italian vegetable-tanned leather, premium hardware, and meticulous finishing techniques. Every piece is designed to last a lifetime and to embody the values of craftsmanship, authenticity, and attention to detail. As a content-first brand, we use storytelling, behind-the-scenes insight, and product-making narratives to connect deeply with our audience.
The Role
You will:
* Lead the prototyping and production of our product range in-house
* Work with vegetable-tanned leather, premium hardware, and hand-finishing processes
* Maintain exceptional quality standards across all products
* Support product development, from initial concept through to final sample
* Collaborate with our content team to showcase the making process through photography and video in our on-site studio
About You
* Proven experience in leathercraft or a related field (e.g. saddlery, shoemaking, bespoke accessories)
* Confident working with both traditional tools and modern machinery
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
* Comfortable being part of (and occasionally featured in) content that documents your craft
* Ability to work independently and problem-solve in a workshop environment
* Based in or able to travel to Doncaster, South Yorkshire
What We’re Offering
* A chance to shape the setup and processes of a new in-house workshop
* Flexible hours (part-time or full time to be agreed)
* Competitive pay aligned to experience
* A creative, supportive working environment where craftsmanship and storytelling are at the heart of everything we do
