SEN Teaching Assistant - Greenwich

Tradewind Recruitment is currently recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and inclusive secondary school in Greenwich. This is a full-time, long-term position starting immediately - ideal for someone passionate about supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEND) in a mainstream setting.
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the school's SENCO and teaching staff to provide targeted 1:1 and small group support for students with a range of needs, including ASD, ADHD, and SEMH. You'll help to create a positive, engaging learning environment where every student can thrive and reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with additional learning needs
Assist the class teacher in implementing tailored strategies and interventions
Foster independence and confidence in learners
Promote inclusion and ensure all students have equal access to learning
Requirements:
Previous experience supporting children or young people (essential)
Experience working with SEND, ideally in a school or similar environment
A patient, adaptable and proactive approach
A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
