Curriculum Leader in Vocational Business – Location: Newcastle College Site. Hours: Full time, 37 hours per week. Contract: Permanent. Salary: £30,900 - £45,320 depending on experience and qualifications.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, suitably qualified individual to teach on our outstanding business courses and to lead our BTEC Level Three Second Year program with approximately 95 student enrolments. You will play a crucial role in realising the department's strategic objectives and will be an inspiring lecturer with a background in delivering Vocational Business and a track record of high achievement rates. You will teach across a range of units on various vocational business programs, with specific curriculum leader responsibilities for the 2nd year of BTEC Level Three Business. Topics include finance, branding, visual merchandising, team building and more.
The ideal candidate will be an inspiring lecturer with a proven record of innovation and a proactive approach to delivery including Vocational Level 2, Level 3 and T-Level activity in Business. You will understand and support the needs of your learners to help them reach their potential.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
* Deliver a flexible and innovative curriculum that responds to feedback from current learners and anticipates changes in demand from future learners.
* Deliver excellent teaching, learning and assessment processes, including a portion of remote teaching where required.
* Undertake day-to-day co-ordination of staff within the course team to help the College achieve excellence in all areas.
Required Skills and Experience
* Teaching qualification (PGCE or DTTLS).
* A proven record of delivering teaching and learning to a consistently high standard.
* Ability to communicate effectively with students and peers.
* Detailed knowledge and understanding of current teaching practice within the curriculum area.
