As an Apprentice Support Worker, you will work directly with clients to provide personal care while helping to maintain and promote independence and dignity. Your main duties may include dressing, bathing, meal preparation, providing social and emotional support, and creating a supportive atmosphere where clients can achieve maximum independence. The role involves working within clients' own homes, so a full driving license and independent transport are required. A mileage payment will be provided in addition to the hourly wage. You will work to a 6-week rolling rota, covering all days of the week on a shift basis from 7 am to 10 pm. You will work towards a Level 2 Diploma in Adult Social Care.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about working for our community and has the following qualifications and experience:
* Minimum qualifications of English and Maths at Level 2 (equivalent to GCSE grade 4/C or above / Functional Skills Level 2)
* Good communication and teamwork skills
* Commitment to the full duration of the apprenticeship, demonstrating reliability, motivation, and the ability to balance work and study responsibilities
* Willingness to learn and develop new skills—apprenticeships are designed for hands-on learners. Please outline in your personal statement how you meet this criteria.
