Responsibilities
* Maintain the quality management system and UKAS accreditation.
* Train less experienced members of staff.
* Validate and authorise results.
* Provide quality service for patients.
* Resolve complex equipment or process problems and perform manual, semi‑automated and fully automated laboratory investigations, including specialist investigations.
* Manage stock control and usage, including maintaining blood transfusion and haematology stock levels and records and monitoring usage to ensure efficient use where appropriate.
