Overview and Responsibilities
Primarily the role will be to undertake collateral warranty reviews and manage a large scheme we operate. In addition, as a Paralegal within our Professional Indemnity team, you will play a key role in supporting fee earners in the defence of complex and high‑value claims against professionals across a range of sectors. Your responsibilities will include assisting with case preparation, drafting correspondence, reviewing documentation, conducting legal research, and liaising with clients, counsel, and experts. In this role you will also work on collateral warranties, reviewing and drafting warranty agreements, ensuring they align with underlying professional appointments and insurance requirements.
Qualifications and Experience
* Paralegal / Senior Paralegal / Litigation Executive with experience in undertaking collateral warranty reviews and defending claims brought against surveyors, solicitors, construction professionals and/or emerging professionals.
* Strong academic background in law, with a clear understanding of insurance policies, civil procedure and dispute resolution principles.
* Demonstrated ability to review, analyse and summarise large volumes of legal and factual material with accuracy and attention to detail.
* Strong legal research skills, including use of online databases and case law resources.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, concise, and well‑structured correspondence and reports.
* Organised and proactive, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
* A collaborative team player with a willingness to assist colleagues and contribute to a positive working environment.
* Sound judgment and commercial awareness in handling sensitive and confidential matters.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and legal case management systems.
