Mechanical Services Design Manager - Northamptonshire
£80,000 - Permanent
This role exists for all the right reasons. Having helped build a robust, well‑run mechanical design function, the current incumbent is about to retire, opening a chance for a new leader to take over and evolve how design supports delivery without reinventing everything.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and coordinate Mechanical Services design for projects across housing, care homes, student accommodation, hotels and high‑end residential, typically £5m–£50m.
* Work closely with commercial and pre‑construction teams to review and coordinate designs from specialist subcontractors, ensuring designs can be built.
* Conduct site visits as required, focusing on leadership, clarity and consistency rather than roaming.

Requirements
Proven Mechanical Services Design Manager from contractor or consultancy background, preferably both, who values collaboration and being trusted to crack on.
