The Role
As a BIM (Building Information Modelling) and Digital Engineer, you’ll be part of a multi-disciplinary team delivering structured digital information aligned to the UK BIM Framework and ISO standards. Your work will directly support the design, maintenance, and development of critical infrastructure for the Royal Navy’s submarine fleet.
We’re hiring across multiple levels:
1. Principal BIM and Digital Lead
2. Senior BIM and Digital Engineer
3. BIM and Digital Engineer
What You’ll Be Doing
Your responsibilities may include:
4. Creating and managing digital models using tools primarily Revit.
5. Supporting model federation, clash detection, and 4D/5D simulations. using Navisworks, Solbri, Synchro.
6. Applying Uniclass classifications and COBie data to meet project information requirements.
7. Collaborating with engineering, design, and project teams to ensure digital outputs support coordination and delivery.
8. Contributing to BIM Execution Plans, MIDPs, TIDPs, and digital delivery strategies.
9. (For senior/principal roles) Leading digital delivery, chairing coordination meetings, and managing stakeholder relationships.
What You’ll Bring
10. A degree in an engineering, construction or scientific discipline, or equivalent experience gained within BIM Projects and Industries
11. Strong knowledge of BIM authoring platforms and structured digital delivery.
12. Familiarity with the UK BIM Framework, ISO, COBie, and Uniclass.
13. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
14. Experience in nuclear, defence, or similarly regulated sectors - Desirable
This is a full-time role based at one of our sites in Bristol Business Park, Bristol, Devonport Royal Dockyard, Plymouth or Rosyth, Scotland. Hybrid working patterns are available.
