About the Role
As a Community Support Worker, you will meet with individuals, families, and carers to connect and listen. You will undertake assessments under the Care Act 2014, develop support plans, and connect individuals with community resources or refer them to other agencies. You will identify and report safeguarding concerns, consider mental capacity, and manage high-risk situations. The role involves home visits, hospital visits, or meetings in comfortable settings. The team has an office base and supports hybrid working.
Vacancies are available in the following teams:
* Learning Disabilities and Autism (fixed term maternity cover) Hinckley
* Accommodation Review (permanent, 2X 18.5 and 2X 37 hours/week) – Glenfield
* Accommodation Review (12-month fixed term) – Glenfield
* Mental Health, Locality and Reablement (permanent, 37 hours/week) – Hinckley
Our Teams
The Hinckley mental health team works with individuals with mental health diagnoses, substance issues, and supports through Care Act assessments, support planning, safeguarding, and risk management. Reablement workers help build community connections and independence.
You need to be assertive, dynamic, and resilient. Our supportive team will help you settle into the role.
The Accommodation Review team conducts annual reviews for residents in care and supported living, including assessments and eligibility checks.

As a Grade 8 Trainee Community Support Worker, you will be in your first role, developing skills and completing our Learning and Induction Programme under supervision.
As a Grade 9 Community Support Worker, you will manage your workload, deliver high-quality, person-centered care, and undertake assessments and decision-making responsibilities.

A DBS enhanced check is required. You must have a valid full driving license or access to a vehicle.
About You
To apply, you should:
* Hold a Level 2 in Maths and English
* Have relevant experience working with adults in social care and with other agencies
* Understand need and risk assessments and adult issues
* Be a confident communicator with negotiation, assertiveness, and conflict management skills
* Recognize your limits and seek support when needed
* Manage a caseload and work to clear objectives
