Building Services Mechanical Engineer
Location: RAF Mildenhall, IP28 8NF
Hours: Full time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (08:00 - 16:30)
Contract: Permanent
We are looking for a Building Services Mechanical Engineer to support the delivery of high‑quality technical services at RAF Mildenhall, working across a diverse range of mechanical systems in a secure and operational environment.
Role Responsibilities
* Deliver planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs across mechanical assets.
* Diagnose faults and complete repairs within agreed response times, ensuring accurate completion of all documentation.
* Maintain plant rooms, equipment and systems in line with compliance standards and Mitie procedures.
* Work closely with colleagues, supervisors, subcontractors and the client to support safe and effective service delivery.
* Always promote high standards of health, safety and customer service.
Required Qualifications
* City & Guilds Level 3 in relevant mechanical disciplines.
* Full UK driving licence.
* Proven experience working in a multi‑skilled building services or mechanical maintenance role.
Desirable Qualifications
* Unvented hot water qualification, with experience maintaining hot water and heating systems, chillers, air conditioning or refrigeration plant.
* HVAC‑related certification such as City & Guilds 2079 (F‑Gas) or equivalent, and/or recognised gas qualifications.

This role is subject to MOD Security Clearance and DBS checks. You will normally need to have been resident in the UK for at least 3 years (CTC) or 5 years (SC). Proof of right to work in the UK is required.
