A Tier 1 Main Contractor is looking to appoint a Senior Building Services Manager to take responsibility for ensuring efficiency, quality and affordability across the design, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of all mechanical, electrical and public health systems, essential to the success of a project.
Managing the efforts of the subcontractors, you'll ensure all works are fully coordinated and delivered in accordance with the contract programme and be able to demonstrate a previous proven track record of managing project risks, ensuring that appropriate measures are taken to mitigate those risks.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Reviewing installation plans and specifications to ensure that they deliver what the building/client needs.
2. Advising the design team on the co-ordination of services within the overall building design, for example, advice on how much space is needed above the ceilings to accommodate ventilation systems and other services.
3. Close out design assumptions, design opportunities (VE), design risks (HSE/CDM) made during the early stages of the design and or tender process.
4. Manage the submission and timely approval of all reviewable design data.
5. Assist in the commercial and technical review of specialist subcontract tender returns, establish interfaces and review alternative design.
