Overview
Based at our Clitheroe site, you'll play a key role in supporting Employee Relations cases, advising managers, taking notes, and preparing essential documentation. You'll also take a hands-on approach to site-based recruitment, helping attract and retain great talent. You'll maintain a strong presence on the factory floor through HR walkarounds, welfare interviews, and shift engagement, as well as leading communication updates via notice boards and digital displays.

Responsibilities
* Providing support for straightforward ER cases, including note-taking, letters, and documentation
* Tracking absence triggers and supporting managers with absence and probation reviews
* Supporting consultation processes (change of terms, redundancy, TUPE)
* Conducting HR walkarounds, welfare interviews, and attending huddles across shifts
* Supporting employee engagement, talent mapping, and succession planning
* Managing weekly-paid recruitment activity from advertising through to offer stage
* Maintaining local social media pages aligned with group branding
* Supporting and delivering site inductions as a back-up trainer
* Coaching managers across the employee lifecycle (interviews, performance reviews, disciplinaries, grievances, appeals, RTW interviews, OH referrals, absence reviews, 9-box grid)
* Supporting delivery of the group leadership programme onsite
* Escalating complex ER cases appropriately to SHRA or HRBP
* Supporting SEDEX preparation, audits, and SAQ completion
* Updating HR systems, trackers, and reports
* Completing Right to Work checks accurately
* Supporting internal audits, TACCP activity, agency audits, and worker interviews
* Supporting locker searches where required
* Previous HR experience (Ideally within a fast paced environment)
* Strong organisation and administration skills, including Excel, Word, and HR systems
* Experience recruiting blue-collar employees in a fast-paced, high-turnover environment (desirable)
* Aspiring to or working towards CIPD Level 5
* Excellent communication skills and a proactive, approachable style
