We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and proactive person to support the Catering function in Springwell Lincoln Myles Cross.
This is a great entry-level role for those who may be less familiar with commercial kitchen environments, but it offers a valuable opportunity to learn and develop over time.
The General Assistant in the Catering team will be responsible for:
1. Ensuring the catering environment is always maintained and cleaned to a high standard during and after service.
2. Maintaining the highest kitchen and food hygiene standards.
3. Delivering lunchtime meals to dining areas, clearing away, and washing up.
4. Ensuring the highest level of customer service at all times.
Working pattern
15 hours per week - Monday to Friday, 11am until 2.00pm.

We are committed to ensuring children receive nutritious meals at school. The post holder should have a passion for catering and an interest in nutritional and healthy meals. Experience in education settings is advantageous.
Applicants should have the skills and organization to carry out compliance duties expected in a catering environment and ensure excellent customer service during service.
It is desirable that applicants have or are willing to undertake training in Food Safety Level 2 and Allergen training. A good understanding of record-keeping, health and safety, allergen control, and food safety procedures is required. Good computer skills would be beneficial.

Please note that we offer daytime working hours (no weekends or evenings) and can provide flexibility to accommodate existing commitments such as child collection times.
