Uniquely, we recruit-to role – and right now we’re looking for a Graduate Operational Technology Engineer to launch their career in our forward-thinking Asset Management team within our Energy, Water and Environmental Division in Manchester. We’d like to hear from graduates that share our ethos and values but are driven to truly transform the world around them.

What does the role involve?
This exciting role will involve working on a range of projects in the field of Instrumentation, Control and Automation (ICA). Successful candidates will join our career pathway and will be working within our Operational Technology teams delivering our world class service to our customers.
* Planning and co‑ordinating the delivery of projects alongside a Project Manager.
* Defining scope and requirement for projects.
* Data federation, analysis, interpretation and presentation.
* Authoring engineering standards.
* Report production.
* Business process mapping.
* Supporting your team with company digital initiatives for continuous improvement.
* Close collaboration with colleagues from other disciplines as required to deliver project requirements.
Who are we looking for?

What do you need to apply?
* Have a degree relevant to the role you’re applying for.
* Have less than 12 months of relevant work experience (excluding placements).
* Are confident using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint).
* Are driven, proactive, and solution‑oriented.
* Can work in the UK without restrictions either now or in the future. This is a permanent role, and we’re looking for candidates who can grow their careers with Sweco without a time limit.
Please note, we will hold an assessment centre for this position in January / February 2026. All applicants will be contacted regardless of the outcome. We provide feedback to all attendees of interviews or assessment centres but are unable to offer personal feedback at the application stage.
