Prospero Teaching is working with a well-resourced primary school in Oldbury that is seeking a dedicated SEND Teacher to lead teaching and learning in their Resource Base, supporting children with complex needs, including ASD, non-verbal communication, and associated learning difficulties. Job Title:Teacher Resource Base Location: Oldbury Position Type: Full Time | Part Time | Term Time Only Start Date:2025 Contract Type:Long-term/ Short- term / Daily Pay:dependent on experience Hours:8:30 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday About the Role: Lead a small group of pupils within the school's specialist Resource Base Plan and deliver personalised, engaging lessons tailored to individual EHCPs Support children with a range of SEND, including ASD, speech and language difficulties, and sensory needs Use visuals, widgets, and other communication tools to support learning Work closely with support staff, therapists, and the SENCO to deliver high-quality provision The Ideal Candidate Will Have: Qualified Teacher Status Experience teaching pupils with SEND, ideally in a specialist or base setting Excellent knowledge of strategies to support non-verbal and autistic learner A nurturing, creative, and adaptable approach Strong teamwork and communication skills Requirements to Work with Prospero Teaching: Hold Right to Work in the UK Hold a valid, enhanced child barred list DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to obtain one) Provide two child-related professional references covering the last two years To Apply: If you would like to learn more or discuss the role further, please contact the Birmingham office on (phone number removed).
