Technical Services Manager
We’re proud to be partnering with a leading property management company to recruit a Technical Services Manager for one of the East Midlands’ flagship retail and leisure destinations.
This is a pivotal opportunity for a hands-on technical professional to take ownership of all hard services, compliance, and engineering functions at a high-performing, customer-focused shopping centre.
The opportunity:
* Lead all technical and M&E operations across a large, complex retail asset
* Manage statutory compliance, maintenance, energy performance, and life cycle planning
* Oversee a mix of internal and outsourced maintenance teams and service partners
* Support multi-million-pound refurbishment and landlord projects (£500k-£4m+)
* Act as the site lead for health and safety, risk management, and building systems (BMS/CAFM)
* Collaborate closely with the Head of Operations, the client, and senior stakeholders to deliver service excellence and operational innovation
We’re looking for someone who:
* Holds a relevant engineering qualification (ONC/HNC or equivalent)
* Brings proven experience managing hard services and technical compliance within a large, customer-facing environment (retail, leisure, airports, or commercial estates)
* Is confident managing contractors, budgets, and technical projects
* Possesses strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate teams and drive high standards
* Ideally holds NEBOSH or IOSH certification and understands energy and ESG best practice

Salary: £50,000 to £60,000 (potential flexibility for an exceptional candidate)
Contract: Full-time, 40 hours per week (5 in 7, including occasional weekends on a duty rota)
