Responsibilities
* Run your own nurse‑led clinics, including face‑to‑face and phone review and treatment appointments.
* Manage patients with cancer‑related lymphoedema under the guidance of the band 7 Macmillan Lymphoedema CNS, who may have complex physical or psychological conditions and/or chronic presentations.
* Assist in coordinating individualized programmes of care and ensure effective communication at all times.
* Provide training, supervision and clinical expertise to qualified staff.
* Work collaboratively with the specialist team to promote quality evidence‑based practice and contribute to the effective management of the service.
* Assess patients’ lymphoedema‑related problems, measure for compression garments, advise on self‑management, refer to other services, contact other MVCC teams or GP as needed, plan and deliver intensive treatments, and discharge to community lymphoedema services or GP.
Benefits
In addition, you will receive a High‑Cost Area Supplement of 15 % of your basic salary, subject to a minimum payment of £4,870 and a maximum payment of £6,137 per annum pro rata.
