Hill McGlynn is delighted to be partnering with a leading specialist contractor in the building services sector, currently seeking a skilled Design Coordinator or Design Manager to join their technical team based in Reigate.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a technically minded professional with experience in air conditioning and chilled water projects to take on a varied and rewarding role, supporting the successful design and coordination of high-spec M&E installations.
The Role:
As Design Coordinator / Design Manager, you will be responsible for producing and coordinating detailed technical designs, working closely with internal teams and external consultants to ensure all designs are delivered accurately, efficiently, and on time. You will be hands-on with design software and involved throughout the full project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
* Producing and coordinating M&E design drawings using AutoCAD
* Working with iES software to analyse and validate system designs
* Liaising with engineers, project managers, and subcontractors to manage design workflows
* Ensuring designs comply with project specifications, industry standards, and client requirements
* Supporting design meetings, technical reviews, and coordination workshops
* Providing technical input on air conditioning and chilled water systems
Requirements:
* Proven experience in a Design Coordinator or Design Manager role within the M&E or building services sector
* Strong background working on air conditioning and chilled water projects
* Proficiency in AutoCAD and iES software is essential
* Excellent understanding of building services design and coordination processes
* Strong communication and problem-solving skills
* Ability to work both independently and within a team environment
