About the role
We’re looking for a Research Fellow to join our team and help shape the future of health informatics. You will play a key role in developing and implementing geographic health data science projects, producing data-driven maps and narratives that provide clear insights into the health of communities at local and regional levels. You’ll work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, contributing to high-quality research and publications that makes a difference.
This is a full-time post ( hours/week), funded until 31 July, with the possibility of extension.

About you
If you believe you meet the requirements, come and be part of this unique and exciting opportunity and contribute to our mission to improve health outcomes through research.
You’ll have:
1. A PhD or postgraduate qualification in geography, health data science, epidemiology, public health or relevant significant experience.
2. Experience of programmatic analysis of geographic information to generate publication ready maps intelligible to a wide range of audiences.
3. Experience of analysing publicly available data with geographic information and developing interactive maps, story maps and compelling place based narratives with a range of data visualisations.
4. Strong statistical analysis programming skills in R and/or R-Studio or other open source software.
5. Be able to work collaboratively and constructively.
