Digital Content Producer
Location: Belfast
Salary: £34,732 per annum
Hours: 37 hours per week
Contract: Interim - until 31st March 2026
Working Pattern: Hybrid
Overview
VANRATH are delighted to be partnering with a respected public sector organisation in the recruitment of a Digital Content Producer to join their Communications function on an interim basis. This is a rare opportunity to contribute to a high-profile team responsible for digital storytelling, multimedia production, and engagement across internal and public-facing platforms.
Key Responsibilities
1. Create, film and edit compelling video and audio content for websites, intranet and social media.
2. Work collaboratively on video/audio productions, and appear on-air as required.
3. Design and publish on-brand graphics using tools such as Canva.
4. Administer and publish content through CMS platforms (e.g. EPiServer, Umbraco, WordPress), ensuring accessibility standards are met.
5. Manage micro-sites built in WordPress, including layout design and maintenance.
6. Support internal teams by responding to content requests, delivering training, and ensuring compliance with relevant policies.
7. Advise and ensure all content complies with regulatory standards including GDPR and accessibility.
8. Contribute ideas to content development sessions and support internal/external campaign creation.
9. Monitor and evaluate digital content using analytics and insights.
10. Liaise effectively with a wide range of stakeholders including MLAs, departmental officials, Assembly staff, and the public.
11. Ensure accurate records management in line with statutory obligations, including support for Freedom of Information requests.
Essential Criteria
Applicants must meet one of the following qualification and experience routes:
Option 1
12. A minimum of a 2:2 degree in any subject (or an equivalent/higher qualification)
AND
13. At least two years' experience in each of the following areas:
14. Using camera equipment and video editing software
15. Managing digital content within a CMS (e.g. EPiServer, Umbraco, WordPress), with consideration for accessibility
16. Creating content using online graphic tools such as Canva
17. Posting and scheduling content via social media management platforms
18. Using digital analytics/insights to measure performance
Option 2
19. A minimum of four GCSEs (A*-C), including English Language (or equivalent/higher qualification)
AND
20. At least four years' experience in each of the five areas listed above
Desirable Criteria
21. A third-level qualification specifically in Digital and/or Social Media Marketing
OR
22. Demonstrable understanding of managing digital content across multiple digital channels
