Responsibilities
* Take responsibility for the commercial control of a number of contracts, bids and processes.
* Identify risks, liabilities and commitments contained within contractual agreements and ensure the business fully appreciates any potential impact.
* Ensure that at all times the commercial interests of the delivery team are protected.
* Lead, mentor, and manage staff within the team.
* Estimate and put in place effective cost control mechanisms.
* Subcontract management – enquiry, subcontract drafting, measurement, valuation agreement & payment.
* Lead project procurement.
* Provide timely and good-quality management reports to the Project Manager and the Senior leadership team when requested.
* Commercial support to other business departments.
* Day-to-day commercial and subcontract administration issues.
* Proven track record in supporting stakeholder management and problem solving.
Qualifications
* Relevant HNC/HND/Degree or equivalent professional qualification.
* Thorough knowledge of forms of contract including NEC, JCT, IChemE.
* Experience working for a main contractor within the industrial, water and/or energy sectors.
* Previous knowledge and experience of operations and maintenance contracting beneficial.
* Multi-discipline experience as a Quantity Surveyor working in the construction industry advantageous.

Salary: Up to £78,6000 including car allowance, annual bonus, generous pension contribution, private medical and life assurance. Hours: Monday to Friday 40 hours per week. Location: Home based with travel to Southampton.
