Job Title: Mental Health Support Worker – Mental Health Service
Location: Ruislip (HA4), with flexible working across Northolt and South Harrow
Pay: £12.21 per hour
Contract Type: Full-time
Shift Pattern: 8:00am – 8:15pm (primarily day shifts, with occasional night cover)
About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Skills Development Worker/Mental Health Support Worker to join our friendly and professional team, supporting adults with mental health needs to live independently and with dignity.
You will initially provide maternity cover at our Ruislip service, then move into a flexible role working across three services in Ruislip, Northolt, and South Harrow. This is an incredibly rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about promoting independence and delivering person-centred care that empowers individuals to achieve their goals.
Key Responsibilities
• Deliver high-quality, responsive care in line with individual support plans
• Support customers to build life skills and independence through meaningful, goal-led activities
• Assist with daily living tasks including personal care, mobility, food preparation, and medication
• Promote confidence, individuality, and decision-making, even when capacity is limited
• Facilitate engagement in home and community-based activities
• Build strong, trusting relationships with customers, families, and professionals
• Maintain accurate records of care notes, daily logs, and financial information
• Take part in sleep-in shifts (emergency response only) and occasional night shifts
• Uphold health and safety and CQC compliance standards at all times
• Participate in team meetings, supervision sessions, and service development
• Act as a role model within the team, demonstrating professionalism and compassion

What We’re Looking For
• Previous experience in mental health, care, or supported living (desirable but not essential)
• A genuine passion for supporting others in a person-centred and empathetic way
• Strong team-working and communication skills
• Flexibility to work across multiple sites and shifts (including sleep-ins and some night cover)
• A professional and committed approach to safeguarding, inclusion, and quality care
• Willingness to follow and contribute to individualised support plans
