As Customer Fulfilment Manager you will lead the end‑to‑end customer fulfilment operation, ensuring that customer orders are planned, supplied and delivered efficiently, compliantly and on time across our UK sites.

This is a hands‑on leadership role with accountability for customer order management. You will work closely with Sales, Planning, Production, Quality, Warehouse and Overseas Supply teams to deliver strong OTIF performance and an excellent customer experience.

The role has a strong operational and commercial focus, combining people leadership, process ownership and cross‑functional collaboration. You will oversee imported supply from EU and overseas sites, UK customs clearance, haulage arrangements and despatch processes, while using data and systems to monitor performance, identify risks and continuously improve how we serve our customers.

This role is suited to someone who enjoys balancing customer expectations with operational realities, can confidently manage complexity across supply chain and logistics, and is comfortable acting as a senior escalation point for both customers and internal stakeholders.

Skills, experience & qualifications


Essential

* Proven experience in industry delivering results
* Skills: management, data analysis, problem solving
* Knowledge of MS 365 system
* Strong communication skills
* Flexible attitude to be able to cover all / any situations arising including those officially ‘out of scope’
* Natural attitude to challenge status quo and look to constantly improve the overall operation
* Customs experience / awareness
* Clear written/verbal communication; able to influence across functions.
* Affinity to learning ref Digital/Systems
* Compliance awareness: GDPR relevant to the role.
* Experience of Interviewing candidates and appointing additional support when required
* Be able to lead business process changes to provide continuous improvement with the department
* Be able to lead, coach and develop skills of team members


Desirable

* Experience in multi‑site or shift environments
* In depth knowledge of M 365 system
* Qualifications: CIPD, degree or equivalent experience
* Excellent computer skills, including MS word, excel, PowerPoint
* Track record of developing talent and the ability to motivate and inspire
* Good Logistics awareness
* Minimum of 5 years managing a busy customer services department
* Food Manufacturing experience desired but not essential
