IT Systems Administrator

Job description

Who we are looking for?

We are looking for an energetic and proactive System Administrator to facilitate the development, configuration, and ongoing running of the business systems used within the company.

We are owned by a sizeable dynamic EdTech company that operates through a franchising business model, currently comprising of four education brands, with over 250 locations in 30 different countries.

As a System Administrator, you will work as a key team member of a global group that supports the smooth operation of systems as well as those of hundreds of franchisees in different countries. If you are enthusiastic about a career working with several IT systems and looking to gain experience in a fast-paced and dynamic organization, this role is for you.

Responsibilities:

Specific responsibilities include:

1. Configuration of MS applications to adapt to the different brands
2. Configuration of Help Desk and CRM systems (Zendesk, MS Dynamics, etc.)
3. Prompt support of final users of multiple platforms
4. Generation of periodical reports
5. IT-related Help Desk Support

Additional Responsibilities:

Working closely with other members of the IT team and in coordination with vendors and suppliers, the candidate may be involved in other IT activities such as:

1. Update of databases of proprietary and 3rd party platforms
2. Migration of systems
3. Updates of versions of multiple systems
4. Other IT support requirements to ensure an efficient operation of the business

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or 3+ years experience in a support role or equivalent.
2. Strong degree of computer literacy and understanding of IT systems
3. Microsoft Office programs including Excel, SharePoint, Outlook, Bookings, etc.
4. Experience of working with Student Management Systems, Learning Management Systems, and Virtual Learning Environments (desirable)
5. A base understanding of Database Fundamentals
6. Previous experience working in a customer-focused environment dealing with both internal and external stakeholders
7. Experience of supporting 3rd party and in-house developed applications
8. Ability to work independently and as part of a global team
9. Ability to manage your own workload and meet deadlines (essential)
10. Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English Language) as documentation processes will be required
11. Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, potentially including out of hours working
12. Able to offer 1st line IT support for Head Office

Additional Qualifications are a Plus:

The following qualifications will be desirable, but not essential, for this position:

1. Proficiency with a CRM platform (e.g. MS Dynamics or equivalent)
2. Proven project management skills
3. Familiarity with WordPress or equivalent
4. Familiarity with the education sector
5. Familiarity with Franchising organizations
6. Proficiency in Power BI or equivalent
7. Proficiency in SQL
