We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and methodical Purchase Ledger Assistan t to join our Finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a solid understanding of purchase ledger processes and a keen eye for accuracy to play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient handling of supplier invoices and payments. If you’re tenacious, organised, and thrive in a collaborative environment where accuracy and clear communication are key, we’d love to hear from you. Please note: Salary of £25,000 - 30,000 FTE. The exact hours/days can be negotiated, but we are expecting around 20 hours per week. Key Responsibilities Accurately record and post purchase invoices Resolve invoice queries by working closely with relevant departments and stakeholders, ensuring all queries are resolved in a timely manner Reconcile supplier statements with company accounting records, ensuring accurate records are maintained and discrepancies are identified Assist with month-end processes, reporting, and any other finance tasks as required Support the year-end audit process Provide support and cover for the office administration functions Key Skills and Qualifications Mandatory Good working knowledge of MS Office Good understanding of sales and purchase ledger processes and basic accounting principles Tenacious & persistent Preferred Previous experience in using an ERP system Previous experience in a similar manufacturing environment Personal Attributes Good communication skills with a high level of spoken and written English and the ability to manage relationships with all stakeholders Methodical and detail-driven Ability to work unsupervised and prioritise own workload Why Work for us?
