Primary Purpose of Role
We are looking for Engineering Delivery Managers to join the Central Engineering team to support complex projects across the UK business and multiple domains.
The successful candidate will report to the UK Systems Engineering Director to define, support, and/or commence execution of systems engineering and engineering management activities on a range of projects in various phases of the lifecycle. Projects may require external help and expertise to maintain or regain schedule/technical baseline or additional resources to drive success.
The role will lead and/or guide the project/programme engineering team, focusing on deploying a systems approach, developing efficient ways of working, and fostering individual and team development.
In addition to leading project engineering activities, the role may also involve participating in and leading tiger team reviews in support of bids and projects, balancing the demands of systems engineering excellence with practical engineering delivery capabilities.
Successful candidates, once established in an engineering role on a project, will likely transfer into a permanent role within a business unit. Mobility and location flexibility are therefore essential.
